The Walgett Family Violence Prevention Legal Service (WFVPLS) adopts a holistic approach to preventing Aboriginal family violence. Recognising the underlying causes of family violence, the service aims to both strengthen and unify communities, combining legal services with education, support, and training.

The service, auspiced by Women’s Legal Services NSW, is locally managed and strives to be accountable to the local community.

The Legal Service offers services including:

• Court Support
• Outreach Services

The WFVPLS has coordinated a variety of educational and informative sessions. These include WFVPLS Girls' Camps and WFVPLS Local Outreach Services.
